Aadil association with AFS goes back to 2007 when he went on an exchange program to the United States under a prestigious scholarship program. Since then, he had been an active volunteer with the Delhi Chapter of AFS India. He now works as a Branding Manager where he plans, develops and direct marketing efforts for AFS India. He looks after AFS India brand positioning and communications across various stakeholders. He pursued his Masters in Conflict Analysis and Peace Building. He feels being an exchange student opens the doors to many beautiful things and chance to meet wonderful people from all around the world.

Bharat likes learning and exploring new things. His main motive during the time he joined office was to learn from others and giving his best in what he does: account related work. He wants to continue working with AFS and learn more with time.


Divya Arora | National Director

Divya has been the National Director for more than seven years and leads the team at the AFS National Office in India. She got associated with AFS as a volunteer and later joined as a Program Coordinator at the National Office in the year 2006. She has a diverse work experience for over 16 years across various schools, not for profit organizations, hospitals, businesses and export houses. She believes that the stay and study abroad programs that form the core operative for AFS Intercultural Programs are indeed a life transforming experience. She also believes that the same opportunity could be made available in our culturally diverse country via inter-state class exchange programs as there is a need for an individual to be culturally competent to be able to adapt to any new environment he/she is exposed to. She holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from Jamia Milia Islamia


Heena Shahzad | Hosting Senior Support

Heena Shahzad is a Post Graduate in Social Exclusion and Inclusive policy from Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI), New Delhi and an undergraduate degree holder in Social Work from Delhi University.  At AFS India, she has joined as Hosting Support. Prior to joining AFS India, she worked towards socio-economic development of refugees as a Program Officer at Bosco Delhi. She has also worked as a counsellor for adults with autism at Jeet Welfare Trust. She has worked in various organizations as intern such as IGSSS (Indo-Global Social service society) working with urban homeless population in Delhi.  She has closely interacted with people and special children and has been successful in building a bond of trust with them. In addition she is a committed individual, sensitive to the issues of gender, disability and marginalization. She is enjoying working in Hosting division at AFS India.

Kunjan Kaith | HR Coordinator & Program Support

Kunjan has recently joined AFS as a Programs support wherein she will be assisting in the operation of the various programs that come under AFS’s wing. A snapshot of her career would be; a Master’s program in HRM from Sardar Patel University followed by which she was appointed as a lecturer in the same university. Post that, she has worked as an Executive – HR and IR in a pharma based manufacturing set up in Gujarat.

On a personal front, she is a people’s person and very outgoing by nature. She believes that, AFS, as an organization, will provide a platform for her to learn and develop herself with its varied activities directed towards promotion of intercultural learning.

Nikhil Bhatnagar | Outbound AFS Program Coordinator

Nikhil joined AFS India, as AFS Programs Support. He is mainly responsible for promoting AFS Year Exchange Programs.  He also supports the other departments, when required. He has over 7 years of experience in the education sector and has done his masters in the fields of Marketing and Finance. He is a very enthusiastic person and thinks that it's a strong point of him. He believes that friendship is one of the most important values in human life. He appreciates friendship and people. He likes Exchanging new ideas, finding interesting things about different cultures and experience new things. Working with AFS has given him vast exposure in international aspect of intercultural learning and believes that AFS makes difference in the lives of many.

Prashant Kumar | Finance Head

Prashant heads the Finance department. He has been making sure that the functioning of AFS Intercultural Programs India doens't get hindered or interrupted because of any snag from Finance side. He has been closely monitoring staffers who work under him to help with the daily work of Finance. 


Priya Sen | Admin and Special Programs Coordinator

Priya has recently joined AFS as an Admin Coordinator and she assist the National Director as well. She takes care and manages the overall administration of the organization and proactively tries to improve the overall working of the departments which begins with her own management as a person and as an employee. She also supports the other departments, when required. She has done bachelors degree in Economics and has pursued Executive Program in Management from IIM C. She believes that an organization can only perform at its potential, if the people associated with it have proper administration, coordination and communication within themselves. Working with AFS has given her vast exposure in international aspect of intercultural learning and understanding and has been a great learning experience for her.


Rajni Singhal | Finance Specialist

Rajni Singhal recently join AFS as a Finance Coordinator, done Maters in Finance & Marketing, having over 10 years of experience in core Finance as Budgeting/marketing/coordinating. She worked with various Industries i.e. Financial Instruments, Real Estate, Chemical, IT and now in AFS. 10 years of experience and continuous involvement in Finance helped her in depth knowledge of Finance and Financial Decision making in present as well as future oriented problems. In AFS she joined as Finance coordinator and is responsible of all financial activities but will be looking for actively participation in other activities also. AFS since fostering the future of not only India but the international students also she is very glad to be a part of AFS India and looking for long relationship with the bright future of AFS.

Ridhima has over 5 years of experience in the education sector with a major focus on client servicing and development of corporate relations. She has done her masters in the fields of Marketing and HR and completed her Bachelors in English Literature from Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University. Presently, Ridhima is the school coordinator(hosting) with AFS India. She takes the overall responsibility for developing strong relationship with existing and new schools with a focus on Hosting and is also taking care of Class Exchange Programs.

Roshan Sajan is a student of Economics, from Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI), New Delhi. At AFS India, he has joined as Hosting Support. He previously was employed in a publishing company, David C. Cook’s India J127 project on trauma, wounds & healing of Children At Risk.  He recent joining with AFS India, comes with an experience of 26 months with Cook as the State Program Coordinator for Delhi. At Cook, apart from ghost writing & editing manuscripts, his role was also a counselor at the grassroots who was also writing ‘Stories of Transformation’ about Children from Rehab & Orphan homes, HIV, Adoption Centers & other places of Children At Risk. Roshan Sajan also comes from a Keralite family who has a knack of researching & niche write-ups.  I believe in cross cultural worldviews, experiences and witnesses to recognize & be part of it.


Sandeep Gautam | Manager, Outbound Year Program

Sandeep Gautam, Commerce Graduate from Delhi University. He comes with an experience of working with Citigroup, Barclays particularly on Retail Assets side for 12 years before joining AFS India. In AFS India he is taking care of Out Bound Programs and also take care of all the new initiatives with schools, corporate and CPOs. Member of the AFS India Strategic Planning Team. In his earlier responsibilities with AFS India, he took care of Marketing and Sales of AFS India Programs. He has also worked as Project Development Coordinator taking care all the new project initiatives including the Project with Yale University for two continuous years with AFS-India.

Sonam is the YES Specialist and joined AFS in the sending team in 2013.She post graduated from Rai Business School in 2009 with a M.B.A. in Marketing and graduated from Delhi University in 2007.Since 2010, Sonam has worked with Education and marketing industry.She believes that International learning and knowledge propels students towards acceptance and understanding of an array of different cultural and community perspectives and develop the knowledge and skills needed for participation in our multicultural society.

Suraj has been responsible for key administration work and has been with AFS India for over 9 years. His immense contribution is in providing support to sending and hosting teams with applications, besides that he also helps in finance and HR. His love for children and the desire to be associated with an organization providing life changing opportunities keeps him going enthusiastically and has been a strong support for one and all in the office. He believes that AFS has given him a lot since beginning, and he wants to continue giving his best to the organization and learning from it.


Ujwal Singh | YES & Alumni Coordinator

Ujwal joined AFS India as Alumni Coordinator since April 2015.  She is mainly responsible for maintaining and updating the alumni database and coordinate with the alumni for any events and announcements along with taking a regular update from the alumni regarding their latest achievements and activities they are involved with. Her interest and enthusiasm led her to take up this challenging task.  She believes that her engagement with AFS will not only help in building confidence in herself but would also provide her a platform to grow and learn something new everyday.

Vyom is a KL-YES (2010-11) Returnee. He has done his Bachelors in Business Administration with concentrations in International Business. After being an active volunteer in the Jamshedpur and Delhi chapters for nearly 5 years, Vyom now serves as the Inbound Sponsored Programs Support. AFS's goals have been very close to Vyom, he believes that exchange programs can really help in building an individual in the long run

Rinku believes that AFS has given him the opportunity not only to meet and interact with new people, but also the hope of learning new things and learning by experiencing. He says that he gets the opportunity to work on computer and other things which helps him grow. He thinks AFS has provided him a good platform to learn.
